Believing they have tamed all the wild winged horses, stable groom Rahkki and his Sandwen clanmates are stunned when a wild herd flies over their village, but this herd has crossed the ocean hoping to settle in a free land, unaware of the Sandwens.
Even though neither Rahkki nor Echofrost want to be paired as a rider and flier, they must work together to fly with the Sky Guard, free the wild herd of winged horses from the giants, and stop a plot to dethrone the queen.
