With Mary's promotion to dean, Dick soon learns that he's being perceived as Mrs. Albright. While he's a bit uncomfortable with his new status, it doesn't seem to bother Mary at all. When Mrs. Dubcek's grandson opens a lemonade stand, Tommy and Harry open their own but have no success. And when Sally learns that Don has had other women in his life, she tracks down all his ex-girlfriends.
When Dick smashes the Rambler into a tree, Mary assumes that he's insured, but he isn't. He pretends he has the same agent as Mary and when the agent drops by, Dick is annoyed to discover that it's necessary to buy the insurance before the accident. But when Dick rents a car, he falls in love with it.
Don tries to kiss Sally while they're out on a date, but she won't let him. He reminds her that they've been dating for two years, and he's never been allowed to kiss her once. When Sally shares this information with the other aliens, Dick observes that romance seems to be missing from Sally's life and lends her a cheesy romance novel, which immediately captivates her.
Dick gives Tommy an assignment to check out high school. Meanwhile, Sally, in a quest to experience sex, goes out on a date and returns home giggly and girlish, only to be devastated when Brad, her date, doesn't call as promised.
