The wife of a successful businessman hires Gunn to investigate after someone takes a shot at her husband. The prime suspect is the husband's former business partner who he abandoned during a mine collapse years before.

Gunn is called in by Lt. Jacoby to deal with a psychotic bomber who has escaped from a mental institution and is threatening to cause major damage unless the mayor kills himself.

A golf pro, due to marry a socialite, is blamed for a hit-and-run death. He is not guilty but has no verifiable alibi. Gunn is hired and finds the golf pro's auto mechanic is part of a chain connected to a gambler who holds IOU's involving the socialite's brother-who does not approve of his sister's upcoming marriage.

Gunn looks into the killing of a famous ventriloquist who's dummy is missing. One of the clues is especially baffling-the man would only work & live where there were two ways in and out.

A knock-dead heiress is clubbed with a poker while flirting on the phone. Her uptight sister employs Peter Gunn to locate her. Surprisingly, the extroverted heiress worked for a florist (Hal Smith, Otis on "The Andy Griffith Show"), luring wealthy men, and had frequent-buyer status at a lonely hearts bureau. In a nightspot where guitarist Laurindo Almeida is playing, Gunn digs up a tip on a gigolo working the missing sister.

Gunn is hired by the wife of a prominent lawyer who is convinced that her husband and his mistress are plotting to kill her. Complicating matters is the mistress's connection to a local mobster.

Gunn is hired by a woman to follow her "husband," but it turns out that this man is actually her partner in crime. Gunn's investigation leads to the local tax commissioner who is worried about the "lies" contained in a missing suitcase which will implicate him in scandal. This episode is a wacky mixture of suspense and comedy, including a scene where the woman ends up in Gunn's apartment dressed in his pajamas, just as Edie comes knocking at the door!...

The biggest Racket Man in town is out on bail and "blows up". Or did he? In order to get back the $100,000 he put up as security, the hoods' Bail Bondsman hires Gunn to find out one way or the other. A derelict who disappeared with a $90,000 winning Irish Sweepstakes ticket may figure in the case.

An insurance company hires Peter Gunn to determine the ownership of $500,000 worth of jewels, which may have been stolen. They were discovered by the police in the apartment of a murdered man who's wife now has laid claim to them. Oddly, a bookie who cannot be found could figure in the solution of the case.

A hard-case who Peter Gunn helped send to prison for five years is paroled.He immediately calls Gunn and lets him know he's "on his way and you have very little time to live".Ignoring Lt. Jacoby's suggestion to leave town,Gunn has a scheme to fight it out on his own turf-but ends up in the cemetery.
