Description
There are a number of differences in discourse patterns between American Sign Language (ASL) and English. These differences pose challenges for sign language interpreters. Interpreters need to recognize these patterns int he source language in order to render effectively the meaning in the target language. This CD-ROM provides opportunities to practice interpreting these discourse patterns between English and ASL. Stimulus materials in both are presented along with accompanying model interpretations at both the sentence and text/story/episode levels.
