Biographical or Historical Data
Thomas W. Cox was a farmer in Rutherford County, Tenn. in 1880, who also had a son named Thomas W. Cox. The elder Cox was born about 1846 in Ala.; the younger man was born around 1875 in Tenn. It seems likely from the dates of the newspapers that they may have been collected by both father and son. By 1900, Thomas W. Cox, Sr. was deceased, although his son still lived in Rutherford County.
