Deaf machining instructor Terry Dockter takes the viewer on a detailed ASL tour of the machine shop at the Seattle Lighthouse for the Blind. Intended for interpreters who are either Deaf or able to hear, this 2.5 hour 2-disk set includes an introduction to the Lighthouse, demonstrations of machines in operation, extensive ASL instruction on machining practice for interpreters, specific shop vocabulary and classifiers used in the Lighthouse Machine Shop, and communication tips when interpreting with Deaf-Blind machinists.
