This DVD focuses on building receptive skills on the kinds of fingerspelled words that often show up in introductions. Twenty-one Deaf people introduce themselves and state where they are from. After each introduction, selected fingerspelled words are shown in a template building process that features the word at regular speed, in slow motion, in printed English translation and again at regular speed. Repeated exposure to a fingerspelled word helps build a pattern or template enabling one to catch the word the next time it's seen. Intermediate to Advanced material.
