Description
ASL at Work is a comprehensive curriculum for teaching conversational American Sign Language and is designed for students who have no or minimal knowledge of ASL and the community of Deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing people who use this language daily. The curriculum is divided into 16 instructional units and includes a teacher manual with accompanying illustration masters CD-ROM and a student text with an accompanying practice DVD.
Description
The purpose of the student text DVD is to provide practice in the use of conversational skills learned in class, to develop expressive and receptive ASL skills and to practice grammar and conversational strategies within the context of dialogues and narratives. Each of the 16 units on the DVD includes a demonstration of a sample expressive dialogue, comprehension practice dialogues and/or narratives and a demonstration of expressive practice prompts.
Description
Illustration masters are included on the CD-ROM that may be used in conjunction with the various teaching activities in the teacher manual.
