Description
When Maria announces her unplanned pregnancy to her family, her father dies of a heart attack, her mother evicts her and her boyfriend breaks up with her. With nowhere to go, she wanders into town, searching for a place to stay. Along the way, she meets Matthew, a highly educated and moody repairman living with his abusive father. The two begin an unusual romance built on their sense of mutual identification and trust, while their families try to bring an end to their fragile relationship.
