Description
Describes how young John Howland got a job as an indentured servant in order to follow his master, Pilgrim John Carver, on the "Mayflower" to the New World. On the way, John had a bit of luck as he survived falling overboard during a storm. Then, he helped the Pilgrims find a safe harbor as they came into New England, and played an instrumental part in building up their first settlement.
