This play takes place in a typical deaf club that can be found in any American city. Deaf clubs are the principal meeting places and forums of deaf people and, in most cases, are the only places where deaf people can socialize. The play's characters are representative of the people one meets at the average club.

The goal of the Flying Words Project is to stretch the language of American Sign Language to the limit. Since ASL is a rich language of moving images, deaf poet and storyteller, Peter Cook, presents the sign language images in these two videos, while associate Kenny Lerner provides the vocalizations.
