Description
This tape explores communication options for young children who are deaf or hard of hearing. It discusses various aural-oral communication approaches and visual communication options (ASL and Manually Coded English) and bilingualism. Featured in the tapes are families who use each method of communication. The tape can be especially useful for parent advisors as they discuss communication options with families.

More Signing for Sense uses an accompanying workbook and the DVD to build on the foundation presented in Signing for Sense. It is recommended that the two be used sequentailly. This presentation will reinforce methods of choosing signs that organize information visually. The goal is to help communicate more effectively with a deaf or hard of hearing child by making visual sense regardless of communication methodology used.
