Description
One evening, soon after the death of her mother and a move to a new town, 14-year-old Millie sees her next-door neighbor, Eric, sitting precariously on his second-floor windowsill, arms outstretched as though in flight. Since the age of five, when his parents died in a plane crash, Eric has been mute, withdrawn from reality and absorbed in the belief that he can fly.As an awkward, magical first love grows between the two, Millie (Lucy Deakins) encourages Eric (Jay Underwood) to emerge from his protective shell. But when the authorities decide that Eric's alcoholic uncle is unfit to care for the boy, men come to take Eric to an institution--and separate the two teens. Now, trapped, Millie discovers that the young man she loves really is THE BOY WHO COULD FLY.
